Back when I ran my shop, I sold one of the top flight, full XTR, SID and Crossmax Ceramic ones to Scary Spice for her husband.

A few weeks later, as they split up, it was on the front page of the odl Currant Bun with the headline "On your bike!"

I wonder what happened to that one. Can't have been ridden much!

Thanks for the replies and great stories, the frame hasn't arrived yet but it seems its been stored for a long time and used very little, hopefully its as good as the pics. I have wanted one for a long time the local shop to me 2 top riders had xtr specced ones and after picking one up i wass smitten it felt lighter than my road bike at the time!
