Schumacher badly injured in a skiing accident

Get well Spa Rainmeister ! Many if not most of the best racing drivers were ruthless in their time. F1 was exciting when he was at his peak. I stopped watching it when he retired. He is highly intelligent, more than most F1 drivers, who are generally self absorbed bores and his generosity does not surprise me.

Not reading all the posts, been off since the children have been off.

I wish him the best of luck and for his family I hope the very best outcome, the Stig that really should have been :D

Normally quite indifferent to people on the news popping their clogs or having troubles, i don't personally know them after all... but with Schumi it's different. I'm gutted. Finally saw him live at Sepang in his last season, the reception and warmth of appreciation from the crowd to Schumi on the first warm-up lap and the final running-in lap after the race was just incredible. Such respect for a true multi-champion. Apart from being a huge sparkling talent on the track with amazing skill and racecraft, his manners during interviews etc has always been impeccable, standing out against a number of other impetuous and temperamental jackass drivers through the years. Then there's his philanthropy and responsibility as a family man. Schumacher is a top quality human being. This is one comeback Schumi has to win. Wishing him well for best possible recovery.

My brother and I discussed at length our memories of Schumacher, particularly our debate about his move to Ferrari back in the day.

I always felt he would make that work.

Love the guy.

There is a tragic irony in him surviving such a dangerous career only to suffer such a dreadful accident.
We're thinking of you Michael and wish you a speedy and complete recovery.

Things not looking too great for him at present - seems specialists have weighed in to the media, that being in a coma for so long doesn't suggest good things for his recovery.

Let's hope he bucks the trend, and his never-say-die attitude whilst competing makes him overcome.

Forza Michael!

Re:

Quite rightly everyone involved is playing their cards close. Lots of media speculation can only be upsetting for those near to him. Swathes of experts who have been quoted seem to form a pretty pessimistic consensus.
