I know it probably means the bike just doesn't fit right and we all know what a long stem's like too steer through some woods, but I've never really stopped liking small frames with silly long seatposts sticking out the top of them and daft long stems protuding off the front.

Looking at all the Kleins in the bikes section just now reminded me that it just looks cool. Always did.

:D

Yep, my bikes always have looong posts, mainly cos I have a long leg/body ratio.

Just so happens this looks ubercool :)

I concur.............off to fit longer stem to ridiculously small Klein

I maybe joining this club (again. 18'' Klein) as i'm waiting the gentle tapping of the postmans feet with a 17'' Trimble out side my door ASAP i'm never any good at the expecting father bit

i run 400mm posts on all my bikes, but they are 21" frames... with 130-150mm stems too.

not always a good plan as i generally get through a couple of seatposts a year.

i knew a bloke in the day who was 6ft3 and bought a S/H bike from his mate

who was 5ft4.

I'm 6' and tried a 16" frame BITD for a race (yea, I know I was a prat cus I only got it the night before..... ). Hooooj seatpost, looooong stem......and I ended up retiring half way through with really bad back ache :(

Shame, cus I soooo wanted to keep the bike. Can't remember the model (kicking self now), but it was a top end Claud Butler, early/mid 90's, bright orange, XT with thumbies :D , Marzocchi front sus and Magura's. In all about 23lbs.......and my sponsor was going to let me have it for about £200

13" Frame, 420mm seatpost!
