I picked this bike up off my stepdad . Sat unused for years . Cobwebs. Dust . Cracked tires and plenty of built up grime . Brought it home on Sunday night and started working on it for a few hours every night. This is the progress so far . Trying to keep it as original as I can with a sympathetic resto

Couple of little jobs repaired the scratch on the lever and covered the scratch on the handlebars with some bits off a frame protection kit I had spare . Painted the bottle cage with white radiator enamel. Zero cost . Just waiting on some fast rolling tan wall tires and I can take it out for a spin

Ditch the pump. reflectors and that mud plugger/crud catcher thing.... Some amber wall Z-Max would look great.

Second in agreeing that colour is awesome. Had a '97 in red, Saracens colours in the mid nineties were on the next level

I remember selling those, seems like a million years ago now. Got a trip to the factory launch for that year - saw the workings in the factory, checked out the range and rode a few around the yard.

Rides well for a 28 year old bike . Takes a bit of getting used too with the narrow bars .but my god it rips on the tarmac.
