Alembic 42
Dirt Disciple
Had the first ride out on my latest purchase today.
Saracen Kili Team from 1997
It needed quite a bit of work. Removal of all the peeling decals was fun. The chainset, chain, cassette and jockey wheels were worn out. Headset had shredded bits of ball bearings in it. Had an odd set of wheels on it when bought.
I kept the original M600 brakes XT mechs and STX-RC 8 speed shifters. VP alloy pedals. Trans X seat clamp, Selcof seatpost.
New / used parts: Alloy sealed cartridge headset, Trek Matrix 750 wheels, Shimano MC20 22/32/42 chainset, 110mm bottom bracket, Pro-lite alloy stem, alloy 1 inch flat bars. Selle San Marco gel saddle, KMC Z chain, 11-32 SRAM cassette, BBB Rollerboys ceramic jockey wheels, Clarks lock-on grips, Shimano QR skewers.
Elastomers are still nice and bouncy in the Rock Shox Indy SL forks
