Saracen Kili Comp

The Ritchey forcelite stem and bars match the silver decals, and the colour is very nice too.

Looks like a good rider.Nice :)

Original seat collar found and sent (thanks a lot Konadad).

Will take some better photos and post them up soon :D

This bike makes me want a Kili. Its a similar colour scheme to my 98 Hardtrax. Looking forward to more pics.

I can't afford another bike just yet, but I live in hope. Looking at another set of tyres after splitting one from my last ride.

I'm puzzled that some of the photos show a Tange Ultimate Ultralight sticker on the seat tube, but others show a Tange Prestige sticker in the same place. Does that mean that the tubeset is actually Tange Ultimate, but you had to change the sticker?

I saw that you said you ought to use a rigid fork, but that looks like a 41cm a-c Project 2 you have on it and it still has reasonable bottom bracket drop with that. So I would guess that the frame is 'suspension-adjusted', in case you ever hanker after some more compliance up front. I do like the black with the frame colour, but a Pace RC35 is also black.

I haven't changed the sticker

I am royally confused, just checking through the photos and have no idea why they are different. What on earth is going on? Will have to retake some later to double check I am not going mad

Sure it will take forks, never tried some PACE ones so may one day go for that. Like it as a rigid though for now. Light and direct.

Right Anthony, thanks to your stunning detective work, I have taken her out and taken some more photos. It definately has the Tange Ultimate stickers as per photos below.

The photo earlier in the earlier thread was lifted from Mark65's identical bike, http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... ht=#708588 and was included in error. This was borrowed when I was looking for a mech verter to replace the rusty one on the bike.

But as the original catalogue says that the 1994 Kili range were all "Tange Prestige double butted tubes" I wonder why mine has an incorrect sticker? Not that I mind at all but seems odd. Guess there's no way of telling. Was ultimate better or worse than prestige?
