My bike is now fixed I just need to line up the brake pads I'm of to do that now soon as I'm finished I will put so pics on here.

Looking at the picture, are you sure that what's left isn't part of the cantilever stud that unscrews?:

It looks like there are flats on the bit left, but there's paint over the join.

That's great, I knew there had to be an easy solution, bet there's been a few frames scrapped for the sake of one of these.

Im going to give the bike a good clean then it maybe up for sale but need to find out what its worth first.
