My Saracen had a hard life before I owned it. It shows all over the bike. However I got it for free so I can't complain! I have only just started to work on it today (11/01/19) even though Ive had it for about three months.
A you can see by the picture, the most obvious problem is the lack of drive train.
When I got the bike the rear mech and hanger were both significantly bent, to the point were the chain would get caught between the frame and the cassette. I wanted to get another bike out as i didn't feel like riding my any main bike. The single speed is only a temporary measure.
I will be replacing the mech hanger in the next few weeks just got to speak to my uncle.
The cassette and chain and chain rings will also be getting replaced in the coming weeks as they are fairly worn out aswell.
Im not quite sure what else I will be doing with this one as we have a few more retro projects coming
thanks to my uncle James1985 wich are of higher priority.
