Hello all, due to my other half realising how many bikes I've got I need to make some space! I am therefore reluctantly selling my 2001 Santa Cruz Superlight. This has been professionally re-sprayed in Ford Panther Black and not used since this was done, so the frame is in glorious condition. I have applied new Santa Cruz decals but not the Superlight ones. It is a mixture of used and as new parts, as listed below.
Specs:
Frame - 2001 Superlight in size large with disc mounts and v-brake mounts.
Shock - Fox Float RL.
Forks - Pace Rc36 Proclass with disc mounts and v-brake mounts. Some markings to dropouts and decals aren't mint but still look good.
Headset - FSA Orbit in red.
Stem - Race Face Ride 100mm. As new.
Handlebar - Race Face Ride riser, uncut. As new.
Grips - Lizard Skins 'Peaty' with red anodised Santa Cruz lock rings. As new.
Shifters/brake levers - Shimano XT m739 8 speed rapid fire combos (some signs of wear as seen in photos).
Front mech - Shimano XT m739 in good condition.
Rear mech - Shimano XTR m952 in good condition.
Chainset - Race Face Ride XC in as new condition with matching bottom bracket.
Pedals - DMR V8 in oxblood red. Showing signs of wear.
Brakes - Shimano XT m739 v-brakes front and rear.
Wheels - Shimano WH-M535 16 spoke rim brake only in good condition with minimal signs of wear. These roll ever so smoothly, I cannot rate them highly enough and they're the main reason I never changed to disc brakes.
Tyres - Continental Vertical 2.3 in very good condition with the little rubber 'hairs' still there.
Seatpost - Race Face Ride. As new.
Saddle - Prologo Kappa. As new.
Seatclamp - Hope qr in red.
Skewers - Hope qr in red.
Cassette - Sram 8 speed. PG850 I think. Less than 50 miles use.
I've tried to co-ordinate the bike with some red detailing as shown in the photos. If I was being picky I'd say I should change the bottle cage bolts to red too but buyer can do so if they wish.
If anybody would like more pictures please just ask, apologies for the poor quality of some of them.
Difficult to put a price on this as it is my dream bike from my youth and I have no doubt it won't go for anything like the amount that has gone into it. It has to go though so let's say £575 collected from Essex or London by arrangement or £600 posted.
