Santa Cruz Chameleon Help!

TSP

Retro Guru
I bought the below Santa Cruz Chameleon frame a year or so ago with the intention of building a retro jump bike.

You know it goes, time, money, wife, decorating... Now I've got the opportunity to get on with building something I don't really want a jump bike

So I want to get rid buuuuuuut I have no idea how old it is etc. I've looked at the frame numbers on line but none of them tally up.

Could someone give me some advice please? Any tips would be great.

Thanks!

Re:

They really are an awesome ride and you have the early disc mount drop-out, if I remember correctly this is the same as my old frame and was circa 2000 ;)

Re:

Thanks everyone.

Just got to think about flogging it now.

Either that or getting it blasted (soda/vapour?) and maybe building it up as a single speed.

Who knows

leave the frame as-is. There are a couple of nice chamy's built up on here to look to for inspiration if you need it (mine included, if I do say so myself).

they do work great as a single speed.

Re:

I just had a read of your thread, looks great!

Not sure I could stretch to front suspension but I've been reading up on suspension correct rigid forks, maybe I'll look at them.

You might have convinced me to keep it.

Now, what colour should I do it....?
