San Andreas Disc Problem

Hi there, Great forum btw!!

I just bought a '99 San Andreas Frame and have a bit of a problem with the rear frame disc mount. What in the hell fit is it? Is there a converter available to IS?

Apologies if it's a simple question, but I've been out of the mountainbike game for 5 years.



Excuse the roughness of the frame, It's in the middle of being stripped of it's paint.

Disc mounts

That looks like a Pro-stop mount, the early frames were the first to have Discs on the market made specifically for the frame. You will obviously need an adapter, I would try Windwave as they used to be the agents or maybe A2z may make one.

heh nuther sannie fan.....welcome to poverty central......how grotty is the rest of the bike...mine took me ages to clean of all the dirt on it but its nearly spotless ...my fav bike of all time too....had 2 so far...ps if you decide to sell i know maxtherotti may still want 1.

He doesn't want one anymore, as he mainly rides on the road! think a 7 inch heavyish FR bike maybe a bit OTT!

Mixed success to begin with, windwave didn't know much, There resident techy isn't back until monday. A2z Couldn't help either

I retried the mountaincycles website again to check if it was back online and it was! This is the answer I got from John:

I was down watching the Celtic game last night and didnt get back till late so I'll take a few piccys tonight and post them. It's only the swing arm that needs to be stripped and polished up, the frame itself has just been painted black.
