Running m952 front mech with 44t ring?

I have a 104 bcd spider and rings for my m952 chainset. The standard ring size is 46 or 48t. Will the front mech be ok dropping a couple of teeth? Will I have any shifting or chain rub issues doing this?

It'll be fine, the other groupsets use the compact chainring sizes and they are all of the same overall design.

M95x was just high as it was targeted to racers who could turn the good old bigger cogs to go faster.

Or try and and see how it goes.
