For anyone interested in Rory O'Brien, I recently added some information to the ClassicLightweights web site. I have been unable to find any reference source for his frame numbers so I have started collecting them myself in the hope of producing some kind of useful list of frame numbers and dates. If anyone on this board has a Rory O'Brien and is willing to share their frame number and, if known, the year of their bike I would appreciate it. Either reply to this post or PM me. Thanks.

Thanks. Thats a very nice bike. I can't see top of the seat stays or the rear bridge. But the front half looks like Les Ephgrave's work.
I've run google searches and picked up earlier message board posts and eBay listings where the frame number was included. Now I'm hoping there are others out there who would like to share.

I have a ROB with the frame # A4044, it came to me in original looking condition with Universal 61 brakes and 'no-record' Campa Record hubs (Nisi rims I think), so I presume it is early sixties. The person from whom I bought it had a good reason for thinking it was built by Ephgrave (it is not a Championship model), and the crown is pure Ephgrave, the lugs are Nervex. As good a ride as any I have.
