So did the standard one.I think they had Easton taperwall stanchions as well.
This was 1994, no other year used them and also the only year of the SL/Ti.
The brace is quite a bit of reduction but at the expense of rigidity.
The Alu steerer being the greater reduction (and threadless*). The crown was stronger (different grade of Al alloy too), to help reduce the flex caused by the brace iirc.
*unless you're special and a bit mad and have a Formula1
Basically if you don't get the Alu steerer, don't bother.
You can grab the Magnesium brace of a later Q21-R (yellow one) for probably peanuts.
