Rockshox Judy rebuilding questions.

Re:

This,
I on the Mag (1" stanchions) if I use 25.0 ID seals it is hard to get them over and then the basically become unusable.
The 25.5 or original 1" ID seals work fine.

Judy are 28.6 ID seals (stanchions) iirc so 28.0 would be tight over them 28.5 would be better.
Though oil seals did not come til early 00s, sometime with the hydrocoils.

I have plenty of 95/96 NOS dust wiper (that is all the where) and plenty of the 97/98 style and the much better XXX/modern ones.

I've not needed to use oil seals yet.
But I've not service my Hydrocoils (2k2 ish).

I have a few boxes like above, Mainly seals and bushings though for both.

I'm just thinking ahead, but did once have the problem.

Re:

I'll check out the damper seals, I thought they where a pretty standard seal.
I have a tub of originals iirc.
I know a local to me also bought some from a local seal shop and they work fine for him, before I had the tub of originals.

Re:

Ignore me on the Judy ID... It's 28.0 stanchions aren't they (insert stupid emoticon. To much front mech searching..)

Yes, Judys are metric. 28.0 Stanchions. And the Cartridges are metric, too. The ros is 10mm OD and the casing is 22mm ID. The pproblem is, if you order, say, 22x10x7mm wiper seals, you actually get seals with 22.3mm OD. Because the manufacturer seems to assume, you will press fit them. The original RS-seals have a 22.0 OD. No press fit. Just "finger tight". Thats the whole dilemma.
