Robin Hood

It was the pre-story to the robin hood tale, mixed up with him stealing the name, winning the burd, avenging the wrongs done to the English peoples by the crown.
but the charges were 9 and 11,so they loved it

On wiki[yeah who believes that],it states the original Robin was from south Yorkshire :?
This would account for the outlaw bit of the legend    ;)

Speaking as a Scotsman here, doesn't England have any other legendary folk heroes as based on the number of dramatic interpretations of Robin Hood it would seem he's it :?

Please note this is not an anti English jibe, I'll be supporting your guys in the world cup though not exclusively, its just I'm a bit fed up with this medeival superhero

None as great as the legendary Mel Gibson.

Mel Gibson visited many parts of Scotland accompanied by members of the Wallace clan during the filming of braveheart.
Partook in quite a few bongs by all accounts ;)

It was OK in parts, way too long though. Several funny bits, you never see any blood being spilt unless it's in the water and even then it is 'in the water' as such.

And the fight on the beach, what a jolly good place to land the French soldiers, on a beach in front of a huge cliff face with only one entrance and exit to it, clever that!

We actually was educated at warwick castle the other week on Robin Hood. Apparently ALL outlaws during that period went under the name of Robin Hood , Hence there being so many entries and references to the name :?
