That really is a beautiful bike!
I knew you were working on something special and as usual your attention to the small details shines through.

BOOM!

I've give up!

You won't find anything more sublime or gorgeous as that...

That mate is a work of art. Go and hang it up in the Tate as thats where it belongs…

I know how much effort, time and love you've put into this and its certainly paid off. I can't say anymore than that.

Bike of the decade without a doubt :D

Cheers G, and not so sure about that, given what you have going on right now....,

And to answer a previous Question..........

No bike stands, wires, photoshop etc were used whilst taking the photos.

Simply two old fellas.....One balancing and letting go whilst the other had mere seconds to take the photo....

We'll see about that ;)

You'll have to let me know who did the photos. I might need him later this year – all being well.

We could make it three old fellas and then have two of us balancing :)

It makes me smile every time I look at the photos

Sadly not, and I resided myself to the fact that its a bike, and will get ridden. The law of averages will see to it getting some New Patna.

Re: REQUIEM.......25th Anniversary.

Sweet! I have nothing but respect for these sorts of builds. Taking something special, rare but tired and giving it a whole new lease on life and preserving it for years to come.
I know only too well that these are hard builds, costing far more than sensible and taking far longer than anyone could imagine but you don't ever do these for sensible reasons, this is all about personal attachment, sentimentality and love for the bike.

This is a superb build - minute attention to detail and dedication to getting it absolutely right with not a corner cut. Perfect.

You're a better man than me. I would have had my heart in my mouth the whole time. You both did an exquisite job :)

Re: REQUIEM.......25th Anniversary.

Carl, these are not the words of some sycophant out to gain favour or try and fit in with a particular forum demographic, but that is truly stunning. I know that there are people who don't always see eye to eye with you but surely, even they must admit, that you are all about the bikes. IMHO a great build thread, although not essential, really showcases a bike's history and provides a back story to the project so that anyone can read it and come away understanding a little bit more about the bike in question and how it came to be. Your build threads really demonstrate your passion for the bikes, their history and your attention to detail. The photo's are, as always, excellent and hopefully we get to see a few muddy shots in the future :D

Re: REQUIEM.......25th Anniversary.

That is the shit! Awesome; and I don't use that word often at 45 years old and counting! Love it from the bottom of the tread to the nose of the lofty saddle!
