Roberts roughstuff

In a week I’m collecting a Roberts Roughstuff I purchased/purchasing from a user on here. I’ve been after one I’m my size for a long time, especially with a quill stem so I’m delighted. Got no bottle bosses but other than that it’s perfect. I’m going to ride it daily but it will be upgraded slowly.

If you wanted those mudguards to fit more snug with those skinny tyres you can get something for that (although there are probably more 'backyard' ways of doing it).

Thanks, it will be getting thicker rubber. It should fit 1.75 pasela or Rene herse.

If I like the frame, yes. More than likely send it away. I plan on this being a slow burner. I may even convert it to 650b due to availability of tyres.

I am still undecided whether I want to shove a press stud into my Bob Jackson... I bought a strap-on, but it's not quite the same as the real thing.

Have a 650B frameset stuck in the post - will probably be adding studs there myself. What can possibly go wrong!

This bike will bankrupt me.

I have bought some very good condition record 10 levers and also a NOS xt m772 rear mech. Need to change bars and stem next. Collection 48hrs away.

Just collected! Top guy to deal with.

Record levers fitted, xt rear mech and some cinelli bars and stem. 1.75 tyres fitted, much better size. Also threw on some hope pedals.

I’ve got some 60mm Berthoud mudguards but they’re too big so will need to order some 50mm ones.
