Both frames got final top coating today. Mixed results. The Roberts is near perfect in Brirish Racing Green. I put cellulose through my paint gun and it went on nicely. It really pays off to buy good quality gloss thinners.
I would've got it powder coated, but there were a few minor dings that needed filling and the powder coat wouldn't take to that.
The MF was another story. It got primed, then a silver base coat, followed by what was suppose to be a translucent green. It wasn't (thank you Cass Art!). It was a totally opaque blue that reacted with the base (both acrylic) and looks awful. So that will have to be done all over again.
