Roberts #120 Cyclocross - Restoration

Jeezzzzzzz how I’d love to ride this one! Gripping (can I even use this word when it comes to paint jobs?) paint job as usual!

Gottobe a keeper this one…

Cheers Panos! and yes, I think I'll hang on to this one, it's a bit special.

Gripping is a good word as some of my early paint jobs effectively 'fell off' the bike... practice makes....well... better anyway 😉.

Also as I paint outdoors, this was my last paint job of 2024, until the weather warms up around March/April ☹️

It was about as close as I could get to the original, (without getting a colour match) which itself grew on me. In my mind I thought it would work with the decals, saddle and silver components....I'm happy with how it turned out.

It is a spray.bike paint called 'Peacock'. Clearcoat is SprayMax2K
Well worth your efforts and I like all the bikes you've done 👍

Oooo, I like that.
You are lucky to get 35c in there. I can only fit 30c knobblies in my Nigel Dean tourer which means some off-road jaunts are a bit sketchy.

Thank you ☺️ I was able (much to his annoyance) to test fit the wheels from my son’s GT grade which are running 35c so I had reasonable confidence I could get away with it… might even have managed a 38c but that would be pushing it 😄
