I picked this poster up recently, and going back to Steve Joughin, here he is riding for The Manchester Wheelers on a different Harry Hall bike (it doesn't exactly look like him here, but I think it must be him given the Manx connection) [EDIT - It's actually Jeff Williams]. In the black jersey is a rider from Chesterfield Coureurs CC on an MB Dronfield bike.

And a Kirkby CC/Puch rider in second place riding something that isn't a Puch. Interesting that the M&B is in a very close representation of Team Raleigh colours. I agree that the front rider doesn't really look like Steve 'Jockey' Joughin. Perhaps someone will be able to confirm?

Look at all that gleaming chrome and polished alloy glinting in the sunlight :D

Watched Paris Nice last week and thought how dull and boring the bikes looked.

I knew someone would be able to ID the kit on the other rider! The Puch sponsorship threw me off and I was wondering if it wasn't a British rider/club. I kept squinting at the lead rider thinking that must be Steve Joughin given the club jersey, the bike, and the subject of the poster, but maybe not?

I presume the M&B was painted in the club colours, but it is a funny coincidence given the prominence of Team Raleigh at the time. I think I'm right in saying this is quite early for an M&B, too.
