It's a beautiful frame, what effect does the rear suspension have on the ride?

I love these interesting rear shock designs.

I had never ridden a rear suspension frame till now...
No pivots means no effect on the ride when pedaling and I can always feel the rear wheel down there...
But cannot tell you if this system is better than others. It works enough for me.

My Litespeed Unicoi has the same Moots "YBB" rear end on it and I love it!
I'm not sure how steel can work the same as Ti for this rear end, however, without a pivot point.
Titanium has a very strong fatigue/flex point...did these steel YBB frames ever have a problem with cracking?

only minor issue would be the fork color.
