Although, to be fair, the price in Canadian dollars (1000$ CAD is around £550).

Sounds like you could get this for a good price. Tagging along @Canuckbiker who has a similar aged (88?) fillet brazed Ritchey and should have a lot more knowledge than me. But looks like that site has tons of info!

Not sure they'll ever go that cheap on price, but worth getting better pictures followed by a good haggle.

It is listed for $1,000 (!), but the seller seems open to letting it go in the $400–$500 range (CAD).

Hard to say from the NDS photo shared but I’d hazard a guess $400 CAD may be fair, in our neck of the woods great bikes are not bringing the money they are worth these days which may also influence your decision, the matching Logic fork is worth a bunch on it’s own, should be XT parts are at least DX I’m thinking? An in-person look seems like a good idea

Thank you all for the advice and knowledge, I had fun reading Ritchey catalogs this morning!

I talked to the guy, he agreed to lower its price to 500$ CAD. I'll go have a look this afternoon; depending on the condition, I might just take it at that price. Good thing it is a short drive from where I live!

Looking at the other pictures, it appears that it is built with Deore DX parts and uses Ritchey Logic (non Prestige) tubing.
