That's truly awful news - he was at the core of UK MTBing, and a genuine constant throughout all of the fads and scenes. Feels like another little bit of my youth has disappeared.
R.I.P. chap, and sincere condolences to his family.
R.I.P. Steve.
A constant presence in my cycling life through the mags and internet, bought a couple of parts from him late last year,a real gent.
A good reason to make the most of each and every day,and get out and ride more.
Ride free buddy.
Very sad news :-( like many on here I remember him firstly from the early days of mbuk, a great guy and a sad loss to the cycling community ..... Condolences to his family an friends.
Such a shame, a well known name in the mountain biking world, and quite scary to see yet another heart attack claiming a mountain biker, im starting to think this game is quite dangerous!!
