yes, without scratching as the brass is very soft. I'm using one found on a stall at a carboot. Its great for cleaning aluminmumniuiiinmmm too without scratching.

cola is nasty stuff. amazing that its legal to drink it. Who would put phosphoric acid into a food product !
the 20p a big bottle supermarket own brand is excellent for cleaning engines, insides of radiators etc. dissolves bone and flesh overnight too.

I'm more worried about all the ethanol people drink, it's highly toxic!

I use hammerite rust remover gel on all my rusty parts: paint it on, let it dry then rub off with some fine paper or wirewool that's been wetted. Great for chrome wheels too. It's amazing what's revealed underneath
