Rigid Forks for Marin Bear Valley SE 1997

Hello Retrobike,

Bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for an original Marin rigid fork for my 1997 Bear Valley SE (17.5 inch frame size).

I have a set of Rockstars,I think they're from '97 but not from a Bear Valley SE.They're a silvery champagne colour,threaded and for a 19" frame.PM me if interested.

151mm steerer, 31mm threaded.

No problem,steerer is approx 175mm long,a to c approx 400mm.
Not sure about the steel models but I do know that for Marin alloy models,the 19" frames have longer headtubes/steerers.Headtube lengths may be in the Marin catalogue archive on here if that helps?

Just had a look,the 19" frames have 150mm headtubes,the 17.5"s have a 120mm headtube so you would need to cut and possibly re-thread mine or use spacers.I can check how much thread there is if you're interested.

Thanks both - however I've realized I need a threadless 1 1/8 stearer tube for this bike, so neither fork would work unfortunately.

Those posts are from 2020 nicgel so unlikely. If you can tell me the length of your headtube I may be able to source a set of Marin forks for you in 1 1/8” threaded. They aren’t perfect but won’t be expensive.
