Reynolds 753 tubeset

Pretty sure, at this point in the project, I won't be able to contribute. Out of my league now.

The last snippet I have from BITD, from a very very reputable builder in the midlands, with early certification, but still did 753 chroming, and supplying to pro teams is:

"It's a bitch. It can't be cold set. No room for error. It's got to be right in the jig and out of the jig."

Can't and will not mention names.

There’s a 753 bike with a cracked down tube… Any chance your supplier for the boxed set have extra tubing?

You can fillet braze (the process) Reynolds 753 at low temperature using silver solder but its no easy task, the fillet created is much smaller and neater. This is my SBDU Raleigh, one of three prototype 753 Aero frames built by the Raleigh Specialist Bicycle Development Unit workshop manager Mike Mullett in 1980👍

Sorry, the set I bought is enough for one frame. 753 is very difficult to find now, you might strike it lucky and find a builder with some loose 753 tubes in a cupboard, it's well worth half a day on the phone cold calling the list of frame builders in the directory 👍

Here's a list of the well known ones, including address and phone numbers:
