Reverb hose too long

Despite my frame being a 29er in large, the hose on my freshly serviced reverb seems to be waaaaay too long.

What's the best way to shorten it? Assume similar to shortening disc hose? Will I need a new barb thing?

Any tips on doing it?

Same as brake hose but easier. Trim at remote end. Turn remote to fully slow as per bleed procedure and then just unscrew remote from hose using spanner. Operates at much lower pressure than brakes and barb is built into remote. Trim hose and refit remote. Quick bleed at remote end and you’re done.
One thing to remember is to leave enough slack to allow you to remove seatpost to be able to access bleed port. Neatest length may be too short and remote will hit cable port before the post’s out of the seat tube.

Nope, air valve is under seat clamp. Bleed port is just above where the hose attaches to the base of the post.

Cheers, mine to reverbs so every day is a school day.

So it may he worth trying to keep the hose the length it is and filling the tubes? My frame has internal routing so it can hide the excess I guess, though it could work it's way out? I always though with hydraulics, the shorter the journey, the better?

Re:

Fluid only needs enough pressure to push open a poppet valve. I shortened mine after last service. Hose is too stiff to try stuffing excess into frame. Remote is going to have to come off for fitting anyway. Fit remote back onto hose and check where you’d want to trim hose, with saddle at riding height. Mark with a piece of tape. Remove seatpost enough to get access to bleed port and see where the tape is. Hopefully should still be on outside of frame. If not you can see how much more hose you need.
I bleed mine with post zip tied flat on rear tyre to give a stable platform. I recommend giving enough slack to do this.
