Retrobike soundtrack

92-94 covers grunge, indie that went on to become britpop, techno. It's a period that actually defied definition where it was OK to listen to anything.

Personal favourites from that time were

Levitation
Ministry
Nine-inch Nails
Oasis
Blur
Sisters of Mercy
Banco de Gaia
Orb
Mudhoney
Elastica
Garbage
Janes Addiction
Lush
U2
Sleeper
Elastica
Metallica
Sneaker Pimps
Prodigy
Smashing Pumpkins
Pulp

Only about half of them I still listen to....

Southern dowhill series in 90s I remember prodigy well

Yep... Prodigy all the way for me. I remember listening to Music for the Jilted Generation while I was sat at the top of the hill waiting for my run at the Malvern Classics.

A few Metallica tunes also made an appearance - I remember Battery, Whiplash, Four Horsemen, Damage Inc. to name a few of my favourites :)

My knarly (or gnarly) bits are just fine now thanks

Anyone remember The High and Box Set Go?

Loved that tune. Bringing back memories of City in The Park festival with all the scally manc bands and a cracking set from 808 State. Man I was proper shitfaced that day.

Does anyone else think that the singer in The Beloved sounds like Julian Clarey?

Man, you guys have about covered all my favourites.

The Clash, + Strummer's post-Clash work, (and prior for that matter - The 101'ers have some solid garage rock tunes).

Also, Young Marble Giants and Galaxie 500.
