Retrobike resolutions 2025?

I have a few for 2025. The top goal is to lose 15lbs and get my cholesterol in a healthy range. I go back to the cardiologist in May and I need good numbers to avoid being put on medication. I want to restore the 86 Ritchey Ultra that I got over Christmas. I also need to sell a few items to make room in my garage. I don't think I'll get more trail time. My wife and I have multiple trips planned for 2025 including a trip to London and Berlin next October. I live in the USA.

Keep an eye out for a bargain retro Ti something CX / Touring with cantilever bosses. Time is on my side.

Can't see me doing any stripping or flipping.

Can see myself doing a very impulsive almost regrettable vintage purchase locally if it ticks boxes and tickles the old fancy.

I started early on that one, hit the wall with cluttered shop and am in the middle of a major overhaul, new racks for storage etc. But I promised my wife I'd get rid of some bikes in the new year.....

New year or next year, which did you agree to?

The clock is ticking ..... 🥰

Set up the fluid trainer I got for Xmas.
Build a bike to use with it.
Build the GT lightning.
Build the litespeed obed FS I've been hoarding for a decade
Finish my modern 29er, all boosty and droppery.
Build my 12 year old a bike.
Upgrade my 15 year olds bike.
Build my GT RTS disc conversion.
Ride to work.
Ride more in general.
Sell everything else not getting used, aside from mt GT team RTS as that's never going.

I think that's about it.

I tripped over a BMX frame carrying the Christmas decorations back to storage. I then put my back out trying to navigate around some boxes of parts that are set aside to be cleaned up and go back on their respective BMX frames. Bloody place is a mess.

My resolution, or realisation, is that the place needs to be cleaned up.

I'm not sure if that means be smarter about how stuff is put away, stored or displayed - or if things need to be sold off. My head says the latter, my heart says "you'll need that one day".

Either way, clean up the basement and finish some projects.

I hate new years. It takes me until February to stop being depressed about the passing of time. At least my bikes and guitars are now a year older and therefore more collectible. That's right... isn't it?

Grumps

To drink more, ride less, and work even more hours than I currently do,.

Hang on something isn't quite right, I'll have upscale my resolutions to 4k 🤣
