Retrobike resolutions 2025?

Last year, @Tootyred asked for resolutions for this year in a thread I found very inspiring.
Now I'm asking for the same for 2025... I need ideas and motivation!

Some of mine:
-no more new bikes. I only need a small 26" for my son whenever he grows up from his 24", so I can wait for the right deal. That's the only thing I'll buy this year, if any
-this will lead to less tinkering with bikes at night, my only time available after the kids are in bed. Which should translate in better rest and therefore more energy to train and increase my fitness level
-put everything I have in my bike cellar for sale. Whatever goes, more mental space for me
-go through all the family bikes, as all need small tweaks I've been postponing due to unnecessary bike purchases
-do a family cycletouring trip between Germany and Spain combining trains and bikes
-other non cycling resolutions that can be resumed on being a better version of me than in 2024 (less screens, more travel, better eating,...)

Ok, now tell me yours. If you make them public, you have to fulfil them!

Last year post in case you want to check if you did what you promised...

Well, I'm still waiting for my new shed... 2024 had plenty of cash-draining requirements for me. Hopefully 2025 will bring it at last.

I'll probably need to move a few bikes on in 2025, especially if I want to bring more in.

I have 5 or six project ideas, but need space to do them.

Ride more and enjoy what I have is easy to say, but I've realised that restoring bikes and riding bikes are actually two separate things I enjoy.

My stretch goal for 2025 would be to go on a frame building course and learn how to filet braze properly....maybe I'll fit that in.

Well, last year was to ride more but a change in jobs a few years ago meant that it just could not happen.

The rather dark Spectre of type two diabetes is hanging around, inherited rather than wholly lifestyle means that something has to give.

A house move has opened up new (and even flatter) ride opportunities. Shed restoration begins at the end of January so I will have no excuses now that I have changed jobs that will finish earlier in the day - hopefully!

Covid left me spoilt with 2 years of furlough with 2 summers of riding all day, that evaporated and it's been a spluttering of rides now and again.

Retrobike of old had us travelling around the country experiencing amazing new places, it would be nice to jumpstart that again

Carry on clearing out parts and bikes. Haven't got many left, but the more that have gone, the more I'm motivated to shift.

Yes, its a security blanket, linking me to my past, but the fabrics also round my neck choking me too!

Plan is to loose 2 or possibly 3 more bikes in favour of 1.....probably quite modern all road tourer.

I love tinkering as a hobby, but im going to go back to some more arts based pastimes, as I kinda miss them. Possibly revisit pinstriping....which i did years ago and quite enjoyed and get the crayons out again too.

Training wise, im planning a few more 10k runs this year and I want to do a 100mile in a day ride....something ive not done for years (got to 90 summer before last!.....should have just carried on). 🤣

Ride the bikes I’ve got… specifically; take the Pioneer on an extended off road tour - possibly the King Alfred’s Way.

Do, rather than talk about doing, the Trans Cambrian.

Ride more audax.

Take a bike abroad.

Commute - and not just by Brompton.

Clear out some stuff - parting with a frame (or two) may be an emotional wrench but it will be a positive step forward.
