I havent been here five minutes and have entered this comp many times and with some beautiful rockys but the sad fact is that its a waste of time
As for badly photographed well yes a Nikon D80 in the hand is all I can muster, No hiring a studio for me
The ibis is nice but a diamond back axis photographed the same way woul look equally nice
The reason I wouldnt look once at your bikes is your attitude - it stinks. Why denegrate others for making an effort in presentation, why belittle others bikes for having parts you don't know or understand because your knowledge of vintage bikes is limited.
Take a look at the BOTY, only three bikes with vaguely 'professional' photo shoots, most probably done in someones shop or garage for free. My photo was taken with a happy snap camera in my garden, yet somehow it looks OK and got me enough votes to win. I certainly don't have anything as fancy as a Nikon, so maybe it should be me crying foul about you having a technological advantage?
Then look at the brands - Roberts, Ritchey, Yeti, Kona, Orange, Merlin, Mongoose, Fat Chance. Not one of them rare in the UK, not one in a different league to a Rocky Mountain. Then there's a WTB and a Koski, rarer in the UK but very well known and respected by people with a passion for MTB in the UK back in the 80s/90s. So the only 'unusual' brand would be the Gleiss, a stunning and worthy winner.
People either vote for what they like or who they like, and if they don't vote for yours then the reason is obvious.
