Retro Ronde open for pre reg NOW

Old Ned,
When you get to the end of the registration the bank details come up and there it says that you have until the 11/6 to pay.

Well, that's not a lot of good when you've already put people off from registering at the beginning.

Although I suppose it does sort out the possibles from the probables.

(I always wondered which was which when I was lad and the school rugby team had selection games with Possibles versus Probables)

Is there any note of how many have registered up to now?

According to the site they had 600 people last year. I think I read somewhere that they kept the upper limit quite generous to ensure people wouldn't miss out.

The 1000 limit mainly seems to be there to make sure the event doesn't become too big and lose its character (organisers of similar events take note  ).

So I would say it would be possible to take a risk and not register just yet - the chances of the event being sold out are fairly small considering the maximum is nearly double the actual number of participants from last year.

FWIW the 'real' RVV Sportive is also well worth doing, but it's a much much bigger event, something like 15,000 people.

You can see how many have registered by clicking on the registration link on their website, is should say how many registrations they have had at the bottom.
As of now 13:18, 191 registrations so far

Oh well, looks like there's still plenty of chance to get in.

How about it then Mark?

And anyone else from God's Own?

I've got a mate who could be interested depending on how his (very awkward) shift patterns for next year pan out. He's on nights at the moment so I'll contact him in a couple of days.

Yes, I'll be up for this as there doesn't seem to be any interest in my club for a return visit to the L-B-L sportive and I'm keen to return to Belgium.
I'll make sure the boss is OK with it tonight.

Mark.

Mark.

Eric will check his 2014 shift pattern tonight. He wants to drag me out for ride on Wednesday.

It'll be a struggle.............

And I will be having deep and meaningful discussions with Mrs Ned at 'a mutually convenient time'

ie - at an opportune moment over a bottle of wine......................................

I've entered but as the online payment function wasn't working yesterday. Just had an email exchange with Joeri the organiser - he confirms that you have to cancel your registration and go back through again if you want to pay online.

I did a bank payment to their Euro bank account, which is what I was told to do on the registration email confirmation.
I didn't see any facility for making a payment on their website at all.

Weird. :?
