Here's my 1980 Witcomb.
The frame was refurbished early this year, covered in the thread https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/1980-witcomb-restoration.477670/ which also details some of its adventures pre-restoration. I will be putting the rack, dyno wheel and lights on shortly for the Dunwich Dynamo ride next month. Audax super-long mudflaps (with matching purple stripe) as there are lots of fords round me.

Not mine. Posted as an extreme example. It’s a vintage mountain bike. This guy was touring the USA. Started in New Orleans, hit the top of Michigan and was now heading to the west coast. He had so much weight on the bike that you had to be careful turning it to keep the stem from twisting. He was at the LBS bumming punctured tubes to patch. He was a cycle tourist during the day and a bum at night, a modern day hobo. His tip cup is the white container on the back. I gave him $5. IMG_0394.jpeg

One must assume that the rear bag is not located there during riding; though I cannot imagine where it is placed. It would appear that the pedal would hit it nevermind one's foot.

Now I realize my mistake on my long tour; no tip bucket! I did meet some very nice people who put me up for a night B&B style, and a church that gave me a big donation when I stopped to inquire where a local hostel was. Good on you for leaving a tip!
