retro rc cars...............

Depends what you're after really. I only collect Tamiya buggies but the early '90's Schumachers (Cougar, Pro-Cat etc) were always very nice. Mardave's were ok (Mini Stock was lots of fun) but they never really held my interest.

I think if your looking at a first build, then you can't go wrong with a Tamiya, whether it's a re-release (retro) or a new model. Easy enough to build whilst still providing enough of a challenge that you actually have to concentrate a bit.

As a young boy I aquired a Tamiya falcon and when that was smashed to smitherines I had to upgrade to a Petrol powered 1:8 Mantua Peugeot 205 Ralle.

A couple of years ago I got the bug and bought a Tamiya Hornet then I got a Tamiya Lunchbox off my girlfriend this christmas.

Soon after I purchased a Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero metal top wide and also managed to find a NOS Tamiya King cab chassis for a good price.

Lunchbox freshly built, now not so good after a trip to the local scate park but i had so much fun! new gearbox casing waiting to be fitted lol

Pajero on an outing at kielder water, this thing look so real on certain terrain, i like the scale side of RC.

That'll be the Mud Blaster if it was Big Foot style, Scuby Brat if not. Restored a Mud Blaster and thought it was great. :D

Bike + buggies meet sounds like a plan! ;)

^^^^^^^

Yeah, that was it, the mud blaster!

the paint had not even dried on the shell/body and i had it rolled over outside my parents and had the lights on top of the rool cage snapped off!

When you had the inferno did you used to race it at all? I used to race my mugen each weekend out at Gilmerton (south edinburgh) along with the Marionville Model boys.
