Retro parts dropping in price?

I've picked up a few real bargains recently. Mainly on here though I did get a set of pristine Bontrager wheels and a full set of XTR M960 brakes in perfect nick for £75 on Gumtree. I had to check the guy hadn't made a mistake in his advert and missed a 1 out of the price.

its wheat from the chaff, supply and demand time.

Only the good stuff is really sort after and attracting the high prices, another TBG mid range Kona isnt really going to set the world on fire.

High end NOS is still pretty crazy.

Once everything is sold I'll buy some titanium bolts to cheer myself up

I used to collect early 90's Tamiya R/C buggies and the same thing happened with them. There was a massive boom in interest which led to even tatty low end buggies making strong money and anything you listed would easily find a buyer. I keep an eye on the market as I still have a few to sell and it seems that the only real interest is in the new built, NOS, or very good condition high end kit. Low end stuff that would make £100 easily a few years back can struggle to break £20 now. ;)
