Retro-modern fusion gravel build madness. The new Superb!

Yes. It's even better in real life.
I was blown away by the colour, but did not realise how thick the powdercoating is. I think this has added weight to an already heavy frameset & heavy classic headset.

Have to say it looks fantastic, don't seem to have lost any lug detail in the pics either.

It's a really nice finish - doesn't look the normal muted powder coat finish.

For the head-badge, will you put some nice copper / brass rivets in there?

@M_Chavez - quick question - what is the seat-tube diameter on Francine?

Just measured mine and since the damn post is overlised I can't get an 100% proper measurement; it's about 26.2mm - does that sound close to your experiences?

Yep. 26.2 seems just right.
I've got a 25.4 post and the right shim to 26.2, so will hopefully work.

Haven't had much time in the workshop recently.

Copper rivets - no. I might try and fake the rivet look by epoxying rivet caps onto the badge holes though.

@Nabeaquam Pistols are outlawed here unfortunately. The politicians said they are dangerous 🔫
Low-powered water pistols are allowed, but you have to pass police & doctor checks and agree to weekly cavity searches.

Will have to be a bolt action rifle I'm afraid. But we had this one figured out a long time ago.

We recently saw a mountain lion 6 miles from home. One of the guys swore he isn’t riding in the bush anymore unless he has a knife. He said that several times. A pistol is a better security blanket when your sleeping rough. I think I would be cat food before I could get to my pistol. They maul or kill people

Brutal cats!

Chaps, your thoughts appreciated about drilling out the dropout to fix the hanger.
After some persuasion, the hanger is almost ready to take its place on the dropout. I think I only need 1 bolt to fix it - no need to turn the dropout into swiss cheese.
Which one would be better, what do you think? Left or right? To keep the dropout as strong as possible.
I'm thinking left.
