Certainly a bike with historical significance. An early attempt with butted ti. Not the 1st attempt, but with the sleeves it was another and unique attempt. I like it. It looks certainly distinctive and even artistic Through my eyes it is more a millestone bike than a bike of great quality. The frame was a pain to build. There was a lot of waste and many faults. Moreover it was one of the nails in FATs coffin.
If I had to nominate a FAT for great quality it would be a Serotta built Yo. The Yo-Eddy chassis gets a lot ravings because of its riding qualities, especialy from heavier riders. The welding is good and the paint is durable with a nice deep gloss. Mass built FATs are crude.
