Retro Bike Bible - thoughts ??

An easier although not as nice option is what my brother in-law does in his German cycle-touring forum. They create each year a wall calendar with the best 12 submissions (here could be the last 12 "bikes of the month"). I don't know the exact logistics, if you need to pre-order and someone does the bulk order and then post individually, or they just upload the template somewhere and you just place your own order. I can ask if interested...

Some good ideas. Thanks it's a big topic so tackling it may need some thought or a few prototypes or test ideas - like the calender for example which may be more manageable to start with and to see what works and what doesn't. I think there is definitely something doable so I'm happy to have a think and chat with a few people who have done this kind of thing before to get some advice. A good photographer or photography theme (like BOTM) is key as well as I think with these things there needs to be some flow to the book. Could always have a live think over a zoom or something to see what people think. Probably lots of experience across all sorts of creatives on here 🤘

I just checked myself in the German forum regarding the calendar. Basically people submit their pictures, then vote for their best 12 (kind of BOTM), and the most popular make into the calendar. Then some volunteers make the effort of the editing, and then offer 2/3 format options (desk, hanging calendar, etc). Forum members then order and pay individually to those volunteers who then print and post the calendars and keep a small pre-agreed margin for the hassle.
