Repair Stand Advice

Hi, i'm hoping to grab some advice on a decent-ish repair stand. Never bought one before and am just unsure on what to look for. Am i going to need to pay PARK prices in order for the thing to last?

My experience is that the most important things are wide legs and metal jaws.

Worth checking out your local branch of Lidl, they often have a work stand on sale for around £29. For home use these are more than adequate.

For setting up gears and brake and other minor jobs thoise lidl ones are fine but for more onvolved jobs you might find its limitations.

I've got one of these, i was going to get a Park one but funds meant i needed a cheaper alternative, after looking around i saw this in my local 'Clas Ohlson', you can get it mail order and its on sale. Its very sturdy I've had mine on the grass in the garden and its wide feet it has always felt safe. And it comes with a handy tray to put your nuts and bolts in, and a Cup holder for your cold can of beer Winner i say, until you can afford the luxury of Park.

The question was about repair stands not your taste in women!

I went straight for a Park - built like a tank but heavy. If a clip on tool/parts rack is available for the one you chose, get it. Indispensible!

Thanks for the replies guys. Taste in women aside, i'm kinda inclined to go for the clas ohlson, how stable is it? ...doesn't it rock over backwards if knocked?

Park isnt as good as people are led to believe, some of it is rebadged i think.
At work we use kestrel stands - dont go looking at those though.
