Removing stuck crank arm; heat?

now i dont want to be a party pooper, but have you thought about taking it to the lbs, any old skool proper lbs will have it off in a jiffy.

Just got mine back today, £15 to remove stuck bb and a crank arm with stripped threads, to do that they retapped the crank arm and used an oversize puller. i can even still use the cranks

having spent many many hours cutting off cranks, blunting tools, causing pain and injury to myself i have learned the hard way.
 
Ive seen cog pullers sitting on the shelf in the backshop of some lbs's :?

They could have been using it for this instead of its intended purpose though :? You know what type of people work in bikeshops :shock:
