Removing seals from Marzocchi Z1's?

No problem. A few years back it was impossible to find any of their tools and I had to improvise!

order som seals from Dr M just incase

Just tape around a blunt thick screwdriver gets them out.
Doesn't really damage the seals if you are careful.

Basically the tape sits on the fulcrum point to stop damage to the paint on the fork mainly.

A warm sunny day and some oil can help the seals come out easier.

Remove the retaining clip first to get the lower seal out (same screwdriver) ;-)
Don't stab the bushing when getting the lower seal out.

Enduro seals used to have a really good how to.
Even using plastic waste pipe and socket sets for fitting the seals back.

Works well still.

Managed to get the seals out via Fluffy Chickens method. Dust seal came out with a plastic trim remover, and oil seal with the screwdriver method, and the seals seem intact. Thanks for the advice. Will wait until the legs come back from the powdercoaters before deciding on new seals. Needs to get Gil on the case for some custom coloured decals.

Honestly, I'd at least replace the oil seals. The last thing you need is to rebuild the fork only to find they leak oil, and have to strip them down again.
The seals below, or something similar, should replace the oil seals...
