Rebellion Way - Norfolk

Except for @kaydee, has anyone else ridden the Rebellion Way? As a local, I know many of the tracks around Norwich, not so much those along the coast road and Kings Lynn areas.

May well try and tackle it in stages over this Summer. There's certainly some new roads and paths to discover.

Hello Sam,I can’t contribute any more to your post but it is well worth doing.I was very surprised at how quiet the small lanes and tracks were.
It seems that all the traffic concentrates on the main roads and the side roads are so narrow and in such a poor state that nothing wants to use them.
Just by way of a follow up My wife and I have just completed the King Alfreds way,just for your interest,We started in Swindon,then on to Pangbourne,Farnham,Petersfield,Winchester,Amesbury,Avebury and back to Swindon it is about 90% off road taking in the south downs way ,the Ridge way,Whitehorse trail in Wiltshire Salisbury plains and a whole load of other offroad tracks,a really brilliant tour of 250 miles over 7 days.minimal luggage carried in a saddle bag and handlebar bag and about 7 hours a day on the bikes which included stops at pubs and cafes for food and drink.A terrific experience.

Where did you stay for accommodation or did you camp ?

Hello Widowmaker, We stayed at bed and breakfasts and Premier inns,we felt that a good nights sleep and a shower were important after a long day on the trails.
We stayed at 3 premier inns ,all had good restaurants and we were surprised at the quality of the food.
In Avebury we stayed at a b&b five minute walk from the only pub/in the village but again very nice food and beer.
In winchester we stayed at a nice annex in someones garden and ate at the italian round the corner and in Amesbury one night in a pub/inn which was very nice indeed where we had a bottle of Red and a couple of Really good steaks.
We felt that hard work during the day meant we could spoil ourselves in the evenings …and we did .
I might have mixed up some of the hotels and the towns but if you are interested I can look back at our trip details and let you know exactly.
My wife takes care of the bookings and I deal with the bikes ,packing and paying for things

Thanks, it sounds like the thing I would like to do. I've donexa few camping/biking overnighters but like a decent night's sleep.

If you google “Cycling Uk” you can get a gpx file of the route.Then plan your stops around it.
