I have a set of the older style world cup rebas with the carbon crown and steerer. I swapped the lowers for some v brake compatible ones a while ago but now looking to rejig a few builds. I also have a lovely set of rebas in yellow with air u-turn and am thinking I want to use the lowers and internals from these with the world cup crown and steerer. Whilst I've had both forks apart and rebuilt them, I've not had them apart at the same time to compare the stanchions. Does anyone know if there are any differences between them and whether a straight swap as above is possible, or are the stanchions longer on the u-turn forks due to their increased maximum travel?
Hopefully someone knows and can save me the hassle of taking both forks apart to find out.
