rear shock

hi guys, just joined and after advice.i have just had a mongoose teocali comp,2006 I believe done all jobs needed inc. professionally done ally welding,but now I want to change rear shock from the original xfusion unit to a fox. can anyone tell me which sorts will fit and prices

Not quite pre 1997 but you need the same eye to eye length and stroke - you can measure the existing one.

so I just measure from each end where it bolts on to give me length and pick one same size?

Plus the stroke - the amount it moves.

now that has lost me, I know nothing about these things, I wish I could find someone who has got same bike who has changed the shock lol
