I know the feeling, the ecstacy of actually winning wears off leaving guilt or regrets.

Just sell something.

This. We've all done it.

Its just like snogging a munter with the beer google's on. We've all done it and we're not proud of it. Just bump this thread next time yo get a bargain.

Re:

Saw one bloke in the queue at Sainburys go into meltdown when he checked eBay on his phone and got outbid by £45 for something. Not a pretty sight. But still, those hubs are gonna be pretty darn sexy. Trick is not to 'watch', not to get carried away with early bids thereby pushing the price up, have superfast broadband and place your bid in the last 10 seconds or less, if you can take it to the brink.

methink there was actually 3 people going at it, you're just the one who bid the mostest.

There were actually four bidders.
  • You (d***t) bid with 15 seconds to go and your top bid was $241.50.
You were preceeded by e**m (A rookie) who (through a series of bids) topped out at $135 with 20 seconds to go.
The real culprits were f**m & j**m who drove the bidding up to $239 with 2 seconds to spare

I love forensic bid analysis

Not to change the subject but on a somewhat related note....
My 13 YO Son came up to me over the weekend and showed me an auction for a retro video game that was ending soon. He went on to tell me how rare it was and how the price was going to skyrocket at the last second. In a Father-Son bonding moment I suggested that we throw a bid in just so we could feel a part of the action. He of course agreed. Right before I placed my bid I looked at him and asked if he was SURE that the bidding was going to skyrocket thus leaving me outbid.

He looked me with those inocent eyes and said....... "Yes".

You can guess what happened next.

As we sat there together watching those final seconds tick off and my high bidder status unchanged I suddenly realized I had been completed bamboozled!
