Bought this a few weeks ago ...the seller had no idea ot what it was ..my immediate thought from the colour was a Dawes galaxy but the bike has obviously been resprayed.
It has cyclo benelux rear dropouts with a deraileur hanger & was originally a 10?.speed from the brazed on twin Benelux levers. It has GB stem, GB Arrett safety levers & GB sport side pulls. A Leycett swallow saddle on a fluted 27mm stem. (Butted 531?) A Williams single chain set & alloy mistral 27" high flange rims complete the original (or probably) non original picture.
Suggestions so far have been ...Elswick hopper Lincoln imp, Viking & Falcon! All of which have matching & non-matching bits, but none have the matching serial numbers...
At the top of the seat tube is 84 91 (around the semi wrap over seat stay) & under the bottom bracket reads ME139RPC...
Edit...There's no head badge or evidence of badge rivit holes (unless these have been filled before the respray) Pictures to follow...
