I picked this up a week or so ago (I see it was actually posted in the Ebay Watch section), and have since spent a lot of time trying to figure out what it is!
It's got a real mix of gear, including:
Shimano 600 derailleurs and shift levers
Entry level Sugino Crankset
Weimann 730 calipers
GB Bar with Lee Chi levers
Cheap looking stem and seat
Strapped Compagnolo front derailleur cable stop
Newer 630 Wheelset
It's had some touchups, but it looks like largely original paint. I suspect that someone has possibly robbed nicer gear off it at some point and put this mix on in it's place.
The frame has Oscar Egg Super Champion lugs, a RGF bottom bracket shell, and Simplex dropouts. It also has Simplex braze on shift bosses, and braze on pump brackets on the non-drive side of the seat tube. There's no markings on the BB, and also no cable guide. It does have 23-10(?) stamped on the rear dropout. What may be the most telling is the remains of a transfer on the headshell reading R B or R P or something.
Any leads I could chase up would be great!
