Re-uniting Paul Sherwen with La Redoute No 97

My contribution to this year’s SANTOS Tour Downunder Legends Exhibition was a re-creation of Paul Sherwen’s No 97 – the Motobecane La Redoute Team bike he rode in the 1983 edition of Paris Roubaix. Mr Sherwen was there on the night and his reaction to his old stead made the effort of researching and putting the replica together all the more worthwhile.

Looks great, well done.

Paul Sherwen, one of my favourite riders of the period...one of the Foreign Legionnaires. You should credit the Paris-Roubaix photo to Graham Watson though - naughty.

Do they have these kind of Retro bike shows in Melbourne? I'd have som nice machines to show off in the future......
Looks good as we had Sherwen as our guest at a club dinner in the early 80's
