Ironically, this is one of the more promising builds. I can almost see it before me.

I had that one (Mag 21/XT) when it was new.
Next year at interbike Norco gave me the show TNT (serial # 3 Halson Inversion/original XTR).
Those rode so sweet!

Wow, that was a score! My friend had a Halston Inversion. It was a POS - almost no travel. Too bad, I thought it was a good idea.

It's like standing around in your friends back yard looking at a muscle car project that's been on blocks for years. Hanging out with beers, ideas and banter. You almost don't ever want to see the thing complete, especially if your friend has a well stocked beer fridge

If it weren't for the 3200 odd miles between, I'd get @Ingola to distract him for a couple of hours and build it for him. It's a lovely frame, I'd want to know how it rides. I'm pretty impatient with builds though, they're always rideable quickly then tweaked from there.
